Internet Marketing 101
September 23rd, 2003
Hello everyone;
Man what a week or so that it has been.
It seems the more you do, then the more you have to do. I thought the
more you do, then the less you have to do? In theory shouldn't the "to
do" list get shorter as you do things??? Hmmm, my list must be self-populating
when I'm not looking.
I really envy those people working 3 hours a day making $500,000 dollars
a year!
...grin...
But hey don't get me wrong, it still beats having a job, I don't mind
the long hours here at home.
Ok, let me get straight to it, first off one reason I have been so busy
is because of several new projects I'm working on. These projects came
about from some joint venture offers that came my way the past three weeks.
That's one reason I'm a few days behind on publishing this issue. But
more on that later too.
Anyway these offers came about from me being a member of a beta project
I had been invited to test out. I'm sure many of you have seen invitations
to it already.
Hey what can I say, I'm a day late and a dollar short, yes I'm human.
I have mentioned this project previously and ask for you to shoot me an
email if you were interested. I would then notify you when it was launched.
Well since so many of you emailed me, it's easier to tell you about it
here than respond to each one of you separately. No I don't automate everything,
again I'm human and not an automated "guru". Geeesh I hate that
word. I'm not even an un-automated "guru". Did I say I hate
that word?
In other words, I'm not a guru period. I'm a hard working individual who
sells products by marketing on the internet.
Ok anyway, as you know, one of the ways to increase your income is through
JVs, short for joint ventures. I call it relationship building. This project
is called JVAlert and after letting the smoke die down this past week,
plus testing it myself for the better part of two months, I can say it
certainly works.
It may not be for everyone because it does cost something. But then doesn't
anything "worth anything" cost something? I'm not going to shoot
you a bunch of hype and hows and whys and all that.
But if you can put yourself in the position to be able to at least contact
other successful marketers then it is worth at least checking out the
details. Especially considering these are high profile marketers that
are LOOKING to do joint ventures with other people. There are all kinds
of offers flying back and forth from ad swaps in ezines to joint ventures
on creating products and much more.
I have generated an additional $2,500 this month from being a member of
JVAlert, from deals that would not have happened had I not been a member.
One reason I delayed in sending out this issue was to see how new members
were responding after joining JVAlert before offering you an invitation.
Even though I knew it would be valuable to me, I wanted to see what others
would say after the launch. Needless to say the response has been great.
All I can say is check it out, it might be your cup of tea, but decide
for yourself by visiting the link below:

Ok, onward we go.
PLEASE send me your comments!
Do you ever feel like maybe you are headed in the wrong direction? I know
I do. I'm sure each of you sometimes feel the same way.
I guess one of the things is this newsletter. I have been thinking about
changing the format somewhat and would like your input. In my previous
internet life several years back I published a newsletter called PROMOTE!.
In it I included a few listings of various useful sites I found on the
internet, plus I accepted listings from the readers for their sites. I
also included marketing advice and tips, software, and even computer tips,
etc. Some of you on this list were readers way back then about 5 years
ago.
It was extremely popular, and I have been thinking about moving this newsletter
to more that type of format. NOTE: I said thinking about it, not AM.
Basically it was a combination newsletter about marketing, traffic, software,
tips, and included listings of neat sites. Some were marketing, in fact
many were, but some were also non-marketing sites.
I guess you would have called it a marketing and partial announcement
newsletter that allowed people to get exposure for their sites as well,
thus the name PROMOTE!.
I would like everyone's honest comments about that type newsletter.
Would you still stay a subscriber?
Just hit reply and send me your comments about this type of newsletter
and any other changes and comments you would like to see.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

There is a new product that just came out called The Big Bang CD, except
it's more than just a CD. It's almost $2,000 worth of products with a
90% discount.
Yes that's 90% discount.
There are 32 top marketers that contributed to this project. Also it's
not only on CD, you get access to the site so you can download all these
products, the CD is optional. There are audios, ebooks, software, and
more.
There are 48 products you get from marketers such as Marlon Sanders, Yanik
Silver, Jim Edwards, Paul Myers, John Harricharan, Michel Fortin, Joe
"Mr. Fire" Vitale, Rick Beneteau, Linda Caroll, Chris (LockerGnome) Pirillo,
Declan Dunn, Ted Ciuba, and many more. (Yours truly contributed too...grin...)
This is brand new and just became available yesterday. It's a great value.

I also have a couple of no-charge teleseminars/interviews coming up.
(note how I'm not saying that other word that means "no cost"
that spam filters don't like...grin...)
One is with Stephen Pierce of "The Whole Truth" fame, and the
other is with Rosalind Gardner who wrote The Super Affiliate Handbook.
These will be some very informative events, the only cost is a phone call.
If you are not on my teleseminar notification list of "no cost"
and paid teleseminars just shoot me an email to be added to the list.
It is by request only.
Please put in the body of your email to add you to the "teleseminar"
list. You will notified when the above teleseminars are scheduled
to take place when I announce it to the list, as well as other teleseminars
as they develop.
Some of you are already on this private list, but I know many of you are
not so I wanted to let you know about the list.
:-)

Well again it's been a crazy 10 days or so, I guess everyone has seen
all the bashing taking place between some marketers. Geesh, why is it
this has to happen?
Why can't people understand this only hurts the industry for everyone.
The marketing field is riddled enough with various issues already, why
add to the problems? No I'm not going to name anyone, but if you visit
the popular forums then you will read about it. You have probably already
read about it in another newsletter.
Come on folks, sure we have bad days, our spouse gets mad at us, our kids
do things that upset us, and any number of other umpteenth (?) things
happen that puts us in a bad mood.
But strive to think clearly before shooting off an angry retort to someone
without thinking. Take time to think out your response, take time to weigh
both sides of why you are mad or why they are mad. Take time to cool down
first, then proceed rationally.
It takes no more brain power or time to handle a situation tactfully than
to say or do something you may dearly regret later.
Why complicate matters by doing something stupid???
Yeah, I'll probably get bashed for this...grin...

Ok, lots to do with a bunch of current and now new projects, plus got
to feed my 24 pound cat before he goes into anemia...grin... so I better
sign off.
But first I would like to include this link. You know how we email people
and sometimes we see a picture or two of them but that's about it. I'm
sure some of you could care less but that's ok...grin... here are a couple
of shots of where I live out in the country in Tennessee. It's a great
life.
