Internet Marketing 101
August 23rd, 2003
Hello y'all;
Well here we are and its the the weekend and it's another beautiful day
in Tennessee. (geesh, it's so pretty that I have to gasp to catch my breath
if I go outside...from the humidity...grin...)
However last night (Friday) when I was going to publish the newsletter,
storms came in and it got pretty bad here across most of Tennessee for
most of the night.
As some of you know I did the interview with Tony Blake on Thursday, and
the feedback has been excellent. We had 30+ callers on the show and Tony
presented some great stuff about marketing OFFLINE even though you may
be an online marketer.
If you would like to know when it will be up on the CrazyWebGuy site for
listening via the web, just go to:
http://www.CrazyWebGuy.com
Sign up for the notification list. You will be informed of future shows
and those that are available for listening online when they are posted.
Currently I have Alex Mandossian's presentation up, so if you haven't
heard it, better shoot on over and see how you can increase your productivity
through effective time management.
I'm currently having the site redesigned for me by another friend (Frank
Deardurff) so hopefully by next week it will have a new look.
He just redesigned another site for me at:
http://www.e-Teleconferencing.com
As many of you know, I value building relationships and feel JVs are very
important in your business. So today I'm going to mention a few people
I deal with and give their links. No these won't be affiliate links, however
if you do contact them please do mention I referred you to them in my
newsletter so they know I'm trying to give them exposure in return for
the relationships we have built.
Hey it's all about building relationships!
Of course I'll have a few comments along the way as well...grin... "geesh
Gary who would have guessed"?
I also want to tell you about an upcoming site/project that will be announced
very soon for doing JVs. I've been involved in the beta testing of it
and it's going to be a great resource for those wanting to do JVs. But
more on that later.
But first, if you need hosting, web design, or other services, want a
reasonable price, good work and a great guy to work with, then check out
Frank Deardurff, his site is at:
http://ThatOneWebGuy.com
Why have someone design your site?
Well for one, so it will obviously look professional, have a neat and
clean design, and be easy to navigate. By having an easy to navigate site
it keeps visitor frustration down. Frustration can cause people to click
away from your site, hmmm, sounds like lost sales to me.
Another is of course that precious commodity called time. After using
Frank once, I immediately contacted him about doing the other site. I
know it will save me loads of time and at his prices it's worth to me
for the time savings alone.
Now don't get me wrong, depending upon the site and your design skills,
you could of course do it yourself as well.
Next, another friend that has been helping me has been Mike Stewart. Mike
is known as the Internet Audio Guy. You can find his site at:
http://www.InternetAudioGuy.com
If it deals with audio and the internet, then Mike can help you. He also
sells audio equipment and software.
Maybe you think why add audio to your site?
Hmmm, well the results I have been hearing from some of my friends are
that it increases conversion as much as two to three times! Well
if that's the case, then it doen't take a rocket scientist to figure out
it would be worth looking into for your site.
Let me just say that my CrazyWebGuy.com site is by far getting more subscribers
than any of my lists base on exposure ratios. Folks, it's something to
look into.
If you are a do it yourself type then you might consider the following
package that allows you to do it yourself. However you do have to upload
files to your server, and do the recording yourself, but there are NO
monthly fees involved.
And yes this is an affiliate link!
http://www.sonicmemo.com/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=g777k
Or the below software makes it extremely easy to put audio on your site.
No this is not an affililate link.
http://www.soundnails.com
I have been using both packages and find both of them very useful. Again
these programs are more for those people who want to do it themselves.
Ok, lets move on...
I mentioned earlier about a project I've been helping to beta test. It's
a new site that will be announced in about 3 weeks and will make JVing
with the many better known marketers much easier. I can't go into any
real details at this point other than to say it's going to be a great
resource for those that choose to take advantage of it. I have already
been able to complete some JVs from being involved in the beta testing
of this project.
It's being launched by some savy marketers that have already launched
several other very successful projects. You will be among many names that
you know well, if you decide to join up.
The kicker is it will be by invitation only...so... if you think you would
be interested in this please shoot me an email.
Just mention in your email you are interested in the JV project site.
I'll notify you when it goes live with an invitation.
Email me at:
gary@budgetware.com
Subject: JV project details.
Well it's time to get out and do the married type thingy of cutting grasss,
weed eating and all that good stuff.
I hope you have a great weekend, may you and your family have a very blessed
weekend.
Thanks for joining me and my ramblings!
See ya next week, same place.
:-)
